From 18Z 31MAR12 to 18Z 07APR12, JTWC will temporarily cease tropical cyclone warning operations and a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) will be implemented with limited tropical cyclone forecast support to be provided by Fleet Weather Center Norfolk (FWC-N). During the noted period, FWC-N will provide TC warning messages, warning graphics, JMV files, and GCCS files for all tropical cyclones in the JTWC AOR. All ABIO/ABPW products, TCFA products, storm centered VIS/IR satellite images, wind probability products, and 5-day aids products will temporarily cease during this time. Additionally, during this period, the warning threshold for tropical cyclone development in the Western Pacific will temporarily shift to 35 knots vs. 25 knots.
